Uniquely blending dance, martial arts, and healing arts, Nia is for people who love to feel good — to move and play with life in a conscious, artistic, and sacred way.
Nia is for everyone! Classes are open to people of all ages and fitness levels, beginner through advanced. No previous dance experience is needed.
Beth took her first Nia class in 1998 and knew right away that she had found something extraordinary — something that would transform her relationship with her body, her Self. In partnership with her body, she learned to live a life grounded in pleasure, freedom and love. Her desire to share Nia with others through teaching came to fruition in August of 2008 when she received her White Belt. In March of 2009, she completed Green Belt and Nia 5-Stages certification. She then became a Blue Belt in October of 2009. Her background as a professional singer, pianist and vocal coach adds a unique dimension to her Nia teaching abilities. Currently, Beth serves as an on-call teacher at StudioNia in downtown Portland, OR, at NE Community Center and Northwest Women's Fitness Club in NE Portland.
